Homophobia and Internalized Homophobia in Serbia, Qualitative Research (2016)

In 2015, the Center for Queer Studies conducted a qualitative research study titled “Homophobia and Internalized Homophobia” using the method of semi-structured in-depth interviews. The study explored the attitudes of both heterosexual and homosexual respondents toward homosexuality. The purpose of the research was to investigate more deeply and thoroughly the motivations, fears, and prejudices underlying homophobia and internalized homophobia, as well as to identify similarities and differences in the adoption and reproduction of homophobic attitudes among heterosexual and homosexual individuals. The study also aimed to lay the groundwork for further, more in-depth research on these topics. 194 pages.
